Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1Arrival in Fes
Pick-up from the airport or train station. Explore Fes el Bali, Bab Bou Jeloud, Al Quaraouiyine University, the tanneries and the Bou Inania Madrasa. Overnight in Fes.
Day 2Fes
Visit the Royal Palace (Dar el Makhzen), the Jewish quarter (Mellah), the Nejjarine Museum and the lively souks. Overnight in Fes.
Day 3Fes – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen
Drive to Chefchaouen with stops in Meknes (Bab Mansour, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, Heri es-Souani) and at the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Overnight in Chefchaouen.
Day 4Chefchaouen – Rabat
Explore the Chefchaouen medina and the Ras El Maa waterfall, then drive to Rabat to visit the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Kasbah of the Udayas and the Chellah. Overnight in Rabat.
Day 5Rabat – Marrakech
Drive to Marrakech and explore Jemaa el-Fnaa square and the Koutoubia Mosque. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 6Marrakech
Visit the Bahia Palace, Majorelle Garden, the Saadian Tombs, the souks and the Ben Youssef Madrasa. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 7Marrakech – Tizi n’Tichka – Ouarzazate
Cross the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka pass and visit the Atlas Film Studios and the Kasbah Taourirt. Overnight in Ouarzazate.
Day 8Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga
Stops in the Rose Valley and the Todra Gorge, then on to Merzouga for a camel trek, a traditional Berber dinner and a night in a luxury desert camp.
Day 9Merzouga
A full day in the desert: the dunes, sandboarding, a 4x4 tour and a visit to Khamlia village for Gnawa music. Overnight in Merzouga.
Day 10Merzouga – Erfoud – Midelt – Fes
Drive back to Fes via Erfoud and Midelt. End of the tour on arrival in Fes.
