  • Day 1: Marrakech to Taroudant

    On the first day of this itinerary, you will depart from Marrakech around 8:00 AM, embarking on a scenic journey of approximately 200 km through the stunning Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’tasst pass. This route offers breathtaking views, making the drive a highlight of the trip. You’ll arrive in Taroudant around noon, where you can enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, such as Riad Taroudant or La Terrasse. The afternoon invites exploration of Taroudant’s historic medina, often referred to as the “Grandmother of Marrakech,” where you can wander through its charming souks and admire the ancient city walls. In the evening, savor dinner at a local restaurant or your hotel, and settle in for an overnight stay at a comfortable riad like Riad Maryam or Hotel Palais Salam, soaking in the local atmosphere.

  • Day 2: Taroudant to Erg Chagaga

    On the second day of your itinerary, you’ll depart from Taroudant around 8:00 AM for a scenic drive of approximately 300 km, which will take about 5 to 6 hours. Your route will pass through the picturesque towns of Taliouine and Taznakht, with a stop in Taliouine to explore its famous saffron fields and learn about the saffron cultivation process. After a midday lunch, either at a local restaurant or as a picnic in Taznakht, you’ll continue your journey, arriving at Erg Chagaga around 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Here, you’ll embark on a camel ride through the mesmerizing desert landscape to your camp, where you can settle in and relax.     Morning Departure from Erg Chagaga: Time: Depart around 8:00 AM. Distance: Approximately 250 km (4 to 5 hours drive). Route: Drive through Mhamid and Tamgrout on your way to Agdez. Visit Mhamid: Activity: Quick stop in Mhamid to see the town and its surroundings. Midday Lunch: Option: Have lunch in Tamgrout or Agdez. Afternoon Arrival in Agdez: Time: Arrive around 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Explore Agdez: Visit: Explore Agdez and the surrounding palm groves. Evening Dinner: Option: Dine at a local restaurant or your hotel. Accommodation: Option: Stay overnight in Agdez at a hotel or guesthouse such as Kasbah Agdez.

  • Day 4: Agdez to Marrakech

    On the final day of your itinerary, you'll depart from Agdez around 8:00 AM for a scenic drive of approximately 250 km, taking 4 to 5 hours. Your route will take you through Ouarzazate, where you can make a brief stop to explore the city and its local attractions. Next, you’ll visit Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site celebrated for its well-preserved kasbahs and stunning desert landscape. Afterward, enjoy lunch either in Ait Benhaddou or Ouarzazate before continuing your journey to Telouet, where you can admire the historic Telouet Kasbah. As you cross the breathtaking Tizi n’Tichka Pass, soak in the panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains. You should arrive back in Marrakech around 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, where you can unwind with dinner at a local restaurant or relax at your hotel, concluding your memorable journey.
